Description
Fly-fishing waters of Tolmin Angling Club are shown on the map and divided into two fishing sections: Section 1 and Section Catch & Release. This permit is valid for Section 1 only. The only fishing method allowed is fly fishing. Anglers can use any type of fly fishing line and leader of no less than 0.10 mm, but no accessories that would change their primary buoyancy properties. The use of strike indicators and additional weights is not allowed. You are restricted to only one dry fly, nymph or streamer tied to a single barbless hook. Only dry fly-fishing is allowed on the Koritnica and Kneža rivers. A fishing net must be used on all rivers. It is allowed to use Tenkara rod of up to 13’ in length. The permit allows you to keep three (3) rainbow trout. You are not allowed to keep any grayling, marble trout or hybrids. It is allowed to keep only one rainbow trout of 50 cm or longer per day. On the Tolminka (Section 1) and Bača rivers, you are only allowed to take two (2) rainbow trout of up to 40 cm in length per day. A caught fish must be immediately marked with an X in the daily catch section in your permit. Once you have caught your third rainbow trout, fishing must be stopped. With this fishing permit, a child aged up to and including fifteen (15) years may fish with you. Once issued fishing permits cannot be exchanged and there is no refund. Fishing sections are marked on the map. By purchasing a fishing permit you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the fishing rules. Fishing is at your own risk.

In section Lake, in the area between Vodivček bay (under the hatchery) and the bridge over the Idrijca towards the village of Postaja and to the dam at Podselo, the fishing season starts 1 March and ends on 30 November.
