The fishery management plan specifies the following rules of recreational fishing in the fishing waters of Tolmin Angling Club: waters managed by Tolmin Angling Club are shown on the map and divided into two fishing sections: Section 1 and Section Catch & Release (No Kill). This permit is valid for Section Catch & Release. You are also allowed to fish in Section 1, but even there you are not allowed to take any fish.
The only fishing method allowed is fly fishing. Anglers can use any type of fly fishing line and leader, but no accessories that would change their primary buoyancy properties. Use of strike indicators and extra weights is not allowed. Flyfishing with yarn indicator is allowed as an exception on the Soča and Idrijca rivers with the Catch & Release permit. You are restricted to only one fly, nymph or streamer tied to a single hook. For fishing on the Koritnica and Kneža rivers, one can use only dry flies. Barbless hooks must be used on all rivers. It is allowed to use Tenkara rod of up to 13’ in length. This permit does not allow you to take any fish. The fish caught should be taken off the hook as soon as possible and released into the water immediately. With this fishing permit, your child aged fifteen (15) or less may fish with you. Issued fishing permits cannot be replaced and are non-refundable. Fishing sections are marked on the map. By purchasing a fishing permit you acknowledge that you have read and agree to the fishing rules. Fishing is at your own risk.
